It makes my week if I find one of these treasures on the beach during my run. Monkey ladder pods, washed up onto our sands, having floated across the sea from Africa. Apparently bringing good luck to those who stumble upon them and commonly known around here as Lucky Nuts. The larger ones, are named ‘snuff-box sea heart’s’ as they used to be hollowed out to carry sniffing tobacco.
After a tiny spot of trouble at school recently (“You created me” he said) I was relieved when my middle chap came home for the holidays with a camera in hand and a new passion. “Brilliant” I said and put him to work.
He has photographed all the latest images for my website.
ï M DïFęRAńT he says. And I love him all the more for being so.
