We returned to Palm Beach for our third Great Get Together (nope, we never ever use the word conference). There were hundreds of us, ready to celebrate who we were and who we could become. We acknowledged leaders, we listened to peers, we opened discussions, we answered questions, we learnt from one another.
We heard from the inspiring Honorée Corder, and our CEO, Nicholas, delivered a State of Business address, where he shared insights and focused our vision.
We revealed our Fall 2017 collection, not only to those gathered in the ballroom, but also live streamed out to the rest of our tribe at home. Our caramel Carmen Clutch received a standing ovation, as did our legacy belts and buckles.
In the evenings, we swayed to the beat of drums, watched stilt dancers maneuver between feathered carnival girls and dancing ambassadors. On our final evening, at a seated dinner amongst flickering candles, we were mesmerized by the Russian artist drawing in sand.
We danced to music played by Amory and were entertained by a demonic Conrad, on stage, who clearly needs an earlier curfew for the rest of the Summer. Where has he learnt all that?
Long, long after midnight, an impressive amount of Queen Bee’s were still buzzing. Possibly more impressive was seeing so many of our leaders hosting Sunday morning trainings, gathering their tribes for a final farewell before we set off on our different journeys, now fueled by renewed excitement and belief in ourselves.
It was all simply amazing!
Thank you is simply not sufficient enough!!!
Can we do this wonderful thing in Scotland? Please let me know.

Carolyn
