I was always a little mystified by Thanksgiving. How could you really put marshmallows on the top of sweet potato and serve it with a straight face?
Now after so many years of living in, or close, to America, I appreciate what a wonderful holiday this is. None of the clutter of Christmas, just a simple meal with family and friends, feeling grateful.
But being British means whilst many of my American friends celebrate, we eat boiled eggs in front of the telly, feeling a tiny bit envious of this tradition.
So this year, in my ‘magination (as Domino would say) I will fill my dining table with those who are my guiding lights, and you, where ever you may be. To say thank you.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
